Preparation and dosage

It is prepared as a decoction. Boil it for about 4 minutes and it combines perfectly with marjoram or put a few flower stems, a mug, hot water, a few minutes and your drink is ready! Cretan mountain tea is an aromatic, tasty and light herbal tea that at the same time offers multiple benefits to your body.

Mountain Tea (Malotira) Infusion

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon dried malotira (Greek mountain tea)

  • 1 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Bring the water to a boil.

  2. Add the malotira and simmer for 3–5 minutes, or remove from heat and let steep for 5–7 minutes.

  3. Strain and serve. Optional: add honey or lemon to taste.

No significant side effects have been noted, however, as with any herb, if you have a health problem or are taking any medication, consult your doctor.
