Kefalotyri of Crete is one of the most popular cheeses in Greece. It is known for its excellent quality, the traditional way of preparation, its pure ingredients, and its uniquely pleasant taste.
A symbol of traditional Cretan food, with a huge history of preparation on our island for centuries, Cretan Kefalotyri is characterized as a hard table cheese.
Its color is pale yellow to white, with round holes and a natural rind on the outside, it has a particularly pleasant, sub-sweet and slightly salty taste and a rich aroma.
Kefalotyri can be eaten alone, with bread, barley bites, nuts, as a snack, in salad, on toast or dipping it in honey and generally accompanying whatever food is on our table.
